Approach

Tom is dedicated to providing the highest quality business, real estate and estate planning services to his clients, giving his personal attention to every detail in their day-to-day and immediate needs, as well as strategic challenges. His San Luis Obispo County practice includes real estate purchase and sales, commercial and agricultural leasing including vineyard leases, easements, winery and general real estate development, contract matters, business and real estate disputes, litigation and general business counsel. Tom’s services also include buyer only real estate broker representation in agricultural, commercial and select residential transactions. Tom’s practice is located in Templeton, California and focused on San Luis Obispo County, but includes matters throughout California.

Experience

Tom gained extensive trial and general courtroom experience as a new lawyer with the Metropolitan Public Defender and in private practice in Portland, Oregon from 1997 to 2000, handling over 500 criminal matters in three years and honing his skill in effective negotiation, trial and legal motion practice.

Returning to the Central Coast in 2000, Tom accepted a position as a business and real estate litigation associate attorney with the law firm of Sinsheimer, Schiebelhut & Baggett PC. While at the Sinsheimer law firm, he assisted lead counsel in several complex business and real property litigation matters in both state and federal court including business, contract, commercial leasing, environmental enforcement and real estate disputes.

Tom joined Adamski Moroski Madden & Green LLP as an associate attorney shortly after the firm was founded in 2001, becoming a partner in 2005. His practice at AMM&G continued its focus on business and real estate matters, but broadened to include real estate transactions, commercial and agricultural leasing, wine law, contract and general business counsel matters in addition to his litigation practice.

Since leaving AMM&G to found his own practice in 2008, Tom has continued to focus on real estate and business matters. Drawing on his extensive real estate and business experience, he has augmented his practice to include estate planning and provides buyer only real estate brokerage services in brokered transactions.

Military Service

Tom served as an infantryman in the United States Army with the 101st Airborne Division (AASLT) from 1987 to 1989. He is a graduate of the Infantry School at Ft. Benning, Georgia and the Air Assault School at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. His service included a tour as a peacekeeper with the Multi-National Forces & Observers in enforcement of the Camp David Accords in the Sinai Peninsula.

Education

Following his military service, Tom attended the University of California at Santa Barbara, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science in 1993. He attended law school at the University of San Diego, earning his Juris Doctor Degree in 1997.

Memberships

Tom is a member of the State Bar of California and the San Luis Obispo County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in California. He is a former member of the State Bar of Oregon. Tom is also a member of theĀ North San Luis Obispo County Association of Realtors, the California Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.

Community Involvement

Tom is active in the San Luis Obispo County community having served as a member and President of the Board of Directors of the Paso Robles Children’s Museum, a member of the Board of Directors of NCI Affiliates and the Paso Robles Wine Festival Committee. He continues to be active in autism related causes throughout the Central Coast of California.
